Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the NodeLens desktop application (the "Application"), the companion Unreal Engine plugin (the "Plugin"), and the website at nodelens.io (together, the "Service"), operated as NodeLens ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of services

• NodeLens Application — a paid subscription desktop tool for visualising, analysing, and working with Unreal Engine 5 Blueprint graphs.
• Unreal Engine Plugin — a free companion plugin that exports Blueprint data (as text) from Unreal Engine to the NodeLens Application. The Plugin performs a read-only operation and does not modify, save, or alter your Unreal Engine project, Blueprints, or assets in any way.

2. License grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of the applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Application for your personal or internal business use. The Plugin is provided free of charge under the same conditions.

Each Application license may be activated on one machine at a time. You may transfer your license to another machine at any time using the in-app transfer feature.

3. Free trial

The Application offers a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. The trial is limited to one per machine. At the end of the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription.

4. Subscription, billing & cancellation

• The Application is offered as a recurring monthly subscription (currently $14.90/month, subject to change with notice).
• Payments are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record for your purchase. Your transaction is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
• Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which you will not be charged again.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the Service;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Application, except to the extent permitted by applicable law;
• circumvent, disable, or tamper with licensing, security, or usage limits;
• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of third-party rights.

6. User responsibilities

• You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your Unreal Engine projects and using appropriate version control.
• You are responsible for the security of your NodeLens license key. Do not share it with others.
• You acknowledge that the Plugin only exports text data and has no write access to your project files.
• You are responsible for your use of, and compliance with, any third-party services you connect to NodeLens (e.g. AI providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or a local Ollama instance, and Unreal Engine). We are not responsible for third-party services.

7. Intellectual property

The Application, including all software, content, and trademarks, is owned by Nikos Theodorakis and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you. You retain all rights to your own Blueprints, notes, and project data, which remain on your device.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the Plugin will be compatible with all versions of Unreal Engine.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NIKOS THEODORAKIS (TRADING AS NODELENS) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROJECT CORRUPTION, LOSS OF WORK, OR FINANCIAL LOSS, ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APPLICATION SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM. FOR THE FREE PLUGIN, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Upon termination your license ends and you must stop using the Application. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will do so.

11. Changes

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. The courts of Greece will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you under your local law.
